Thomas Jeffrey "Tom" Hanks (Lahir 9 Juli, 1956) adalah seorang aktor, komedian dan pembuat film asal Amerika. Dia dikenal lewat film-film seperti Splash (1984), Big (1988), Turner & Hooch (1989), Philadelphia (1993), Forrest Gump (1994), Apollo 13 (1995), Saving Private Ryan, You've Got Mail (1998), The Green Mile (1999), Cast Away (2000), The Da Vinci Code (2006), Captain Phillips, Saving Mr. Banks (2013), dan Sully (2016), termasuk juga pengisi suara dalam film Toy Story dan The Polar Express (2004).

Film-Film Tom Hanks meraih lebih dari $4.4 juta di box office Amerika dan Kanada dan lebih dari$8.7 milliar di seluruh dunia, membuatnya mejadi aktor keempat dengan bayaran tertinggi di Amerika. Tom Hanks menikah dengan aktris Amerika Samantha Lewes dari tahun 1978 sampai mereka bercerai pada 1987. Bersama, pasangan ini memiliki dua orang anak Colin Hanks (lahir 1977) dan Elizabeth Hanks (lahir 1982).

Pada tahun 1988, Tom Hanks kemudian menikahi aktris Rita Wilson, dimana keduanya bersama-sama membintangi film Volunteers. Mereka memiliki dua orang anak.
