Artist of The Week: DJ Snake

William Sami Étienne Grigahcine (Bahasa Perancis: [wiljam sami etjɛn ɡʁiɡasin]; lahir 13 Juni 1986), yang dikenal secara profesional sebagai DJ Snake, adalah seorang DJ Prancis dan produser rekaman dari Paris. 

DJ Snake memulai debutnya di kancah internasional dengan singel "Bird Machine" dan "Turn Down for What" pada 2013. "Bird Machine" adalah kolaborasi dengan sesama musisi Prancis, Alesia. Single ini diambil oleh Mad Decent, label rekaman yang berbasis di Los Angeles yang dijalankan oleh Diplo, dan dirilis pada Februari 2013. Pada Juni 2013, DJ Snake diundang oleh Diplo untuk melakukan live mix di acara radionya, "Diplo & Friends ", yang mengudara di Radio BBC 1. 

DJ Snake mengumumkan akan bekerja pada kolaborasi dengan Diplo, awalnya dijadwalkan debut pada tahun 2014; akhirnya dirilis pada 2015 sebagai single "Lean On" bekerja sama dengan MØ dan Mayor Lazer Diplo. Pada 30 April 2014, DJ Snake dilabeli sebagai "Artist to Watch" oleh FoxWeekly. Dia dan Dillon Francis diumumkan sebagai artis pendukung yang bergantian untuk Tur Musim Panas 2014 dengan Skrillex. Pada bulan Maret 2018, Billboard menyebut DJ Snake sebagai nomor sembilan pada peringkat 2018 musisi dansa mereka yang berjudul Billboard Dance 100.
