Movie of The Week: Sing

 

Sing adalah film animasi kompoter komedi musikal tahun 2016 yang  diproduksi oleh Illumination Entertainment. Film ini disutradarai dan ditulis oleh Garth Jennings dan h Christophe Lourdelet. Film ini dibintangi suara Matthew McConaughey, Reese Witherspoon, Seth MacFarlane, Scarlett Johansson, John C. Reilly, Taron Egerton dan Tori Kelly. Plot melibatkan kelompok hewan yang masuk kompetisi menyanyi, diselenggarakan oleh koala yang berharap untuk menyelamatkan teater.

Film ini mencakup lebih dari 60 lagu-lagu klasik dari artis terkenal, dan juga memiliki sebuah lagu asli oleh Stevie Wonder dan Ariana Grande disebut "Faith."  Film ini dirilis oleh Universal Pictures pada tanggal 21 Desember 2016. Film ini mendapat review umumnya positif dan telah meraup $ 578.000.000 di seluruh dunia. Film ini, bersama dengan The Secret Life of Pet, menandai pertama kalinya bahwa Illumination Entertainment telah merilis dua film di tahun yang sama.

Sebuah sekuel telah mengumumkan untuk rilis pada Natal tahun 2020.
